6 years and counting

This very day 6 years ago in 2005 Hubby K and I tied the knot. Or rather Hubby K tied the knot. Three knots to be specific. LOL. We had a very nice morning wedding. It was certainly a busy week with all the traditional ceremonies but also a fun one too.

Three sacred knots being tied!

I can't believe it has already been 6 years. It certainly does not feel like 6 years. Where has the time gone? Sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday we got married. But Lil K puts me back right on track. He makes me realise how precious time really is. He is growing so fast and everyday I have funny stories to tell Hubby K about what Lil K has been up too.

Its been a wonderful 6 years. Of course there has been some bumps along the way but those are the bumps which makes us stronger. Now the next chapter in our story is to start  trying to add on to our family members. Lil K is already going to be 5 and he desperately needs a little sister/brother to follow him on his adventures. Actually he has already decided that he wants a little sister first then after that a little brother..... and he has promised me that he is going to share his toys ha ha ha.

You know Lil K thinks that every time you want to have a baby you have to get married. So he keeps telling me that he wants me to get married two times (rofl). But make no mistake, he does want me to get married to his appa. His innocent little mind cant process yet that you can get married to another person. So this whole story, or should I say theory started one evening after he had just showered and I was getting him ready for bed. I was powdering him up (love the smell of a newly showered little kid full of powder they look like a little ghost) and he was looking intensely at the wedding photographs we have up in our second bedroom when the big question came "Amma, why am I not at your wedding".

So I explained that it was Appa and me who met first and after we fell in love we wanted to get married. And only after we got married we were allowed to have children, hence why he only came after we got married. He accepted my explanation and I thought that was the end of that question till the next day I had a shock when he told me he wanted me to get married again quickly so that we can have a baby girl. Oh my how I laughed to myself. I couldn't wait to tell this funny story to Hubby K. So my Lil K concluded from my explanation that every time we want to have more babies we have to get married.

Here's to hoping (and praying) that we get pregnant soon with our little baby girl. Plans and preparations have been made. I think this time around I am more nervous and stressed as I am actually planning to have a baby, where else with Lil K it just happened and we went with the flow.

Hopefully soon I'll be adding on a little pregnancy ticker here on my blog.

My special wish to Hubby K : My Darling old man, I wish us many more happy years together having fun growing old with each other and our kids. Love you loads! Hugs and Kisses!

Almost done!

So after being super busy with my brothers wedding, things are slowly settling down and going back to normal. Am slowly revisiting the Blog world to try and get my page in order. Its been really fun and definitely a learning experience. There are so many different things you can add to your blog to make it look just right. I've been having loads of fun discovering buttons and now have more buttons than I have blog posts (ha ha ha). I think I have settled on the background (there are still so many other that I LOVE!). I'm currently working on creating my own header. Its been fun working with Digiscraps and kits. So until that is done I will be headless :).

We are all waiting anxiously for confirmation if we are expecting our first set of twins in the family. And before you ask, no I am not pregnant. But my cousin who lives in Canada is. Isn't it exciting? When I first heard that she was pregnant I started planning on some things to crochet for the little one. Then when we got the news that it might be twins, I went on a planning frenzy, going through my entire crochet database looking for the cutest things to make. I've kind of settled  on some stuff which I've been waiting to crochet for some time. Of course, I did not forget big sister to be.  I have a few things in store for her too.... and not forgetting my Lil K. I found this cute dragon pattern online and am going to try my hands on crocheting my first stuffed animal. Though i need to get some stuffing first so I'll be starting on a baby blankie first.

So here are some links I've used for creating my blog. They have some really wonderful things (and they are free) :

Slowly getting There

My very first blog post. I've been deliberating a few weeks now whether I wanted to start writing a blog and finally decided to give it a try. Many hours were put into doing my research about blogging. From deciding which templates to use to deciding the contents of my Blog. I finally decided I would just write whatever that comes to my mind. Perhaps this will a blog for my family and friends to keep track on whats happening with us Kumar's at No 16. I'm still very undecided on my theme for my layout. There are SO MANY to choose from. I kind of had all my choices narrowed down to about four different templates and was thinking of asking my cousin in Canada to help me choose the best one, when i stumbled upon this site which offers Vintage Backgrounds and headers. So I am back to square one trying to decide which one I like the best. I've been playing about with various combinations now for the past few hours and am thoroughly enjoying myself. It's really late and I have to be up at 5am so I am forcing myself to go off to bed and continue this when I get home tomorrow. It's going to take some time for me to get the hang of all this HTML stuff so till I have everything figured out you will be viewing a half set up blog. Nighty Night
